E.L.F Haul!!

I looove getting stuff in the post-especially stuff I forgot that I ordered! Here are a few things I got from E.L.F-I'm really happy with most of them. 

So the first product I got was this mineral eyeshadow. This is in a lilac colour and I'm not really sure what to make of it...it's nice with primer I guess haha! It's just a little messy and it doesn't have amazing pigmentation. I don't think I'll be repurchasing. 

This is a cream eyeshadow duo which I was soo excited about. I LOVE my maybelline colour tattoos, and I was kinda hoping these would be dupe worthy. They're not really though. I got hardly any colour from the lighter side, but I did like the darker side so that's a plus! I think it'll be really pretty under other eyeshadows. 

I got this too and I really like it! It's very glossy as the name "super glossy" suggests, but also a really nice colour! 

This is the 32 colour eyeshadow palette in "cool", and I like this a whole bunch. I was looking for another colourful palette, and I could honestly see myself wearing most of these. It has pretty decent pigmentation, and it was only 6 squid, so I'm not complaining! 

I had HD blush before in a different colour, so I knew what to expect. I just forgot one important thing-a little goes a really long way! You only need a small bit for a nice smooth matte glow-and I used waaay too much today haha! There are lots of different shades, and I'm really happy I repurchased.

My Hair History!

Hello blogger friends! It's a gorgeous day for once, and I just happen to have a mildly sprained arm and a broken toe (I took a tumble at the beach :( ) Being unable to move, I said I'd do a blog post. 
You might not know this, but I change my hair a lot. I know it's not good for it, but I have this problem where if I want something, I'll just go and do it without even thinking about it! Here's all the hair colours I've ever had-this might take a while! 

Starting off, it was kinda golden brown, which I really did like and miss sometimes! I also had layers in this pic which I may do again :) 

Next, I dyed it darker! I did actually like this, but look at the curls aghh! I was about 17 here which is almost 4 years ago. I also haven't really changed at all. #babyface 

Next I cut my hair really short which I HATED. I always put it up like this, but I did like the colour! 

Eventually my hair grew out but I kept the colour because I liked it so much! 

I started going blonder..

REALLY blonde!! 

Brown again!! (Notice how I never stray far from the side fringe!)

Getting blonder again!! 

RED!! 

  And nowww we're back to brown haha! But I'm thinking blonde for the summer ;) I do dye my hair quite a bit, but I know how to maintain it so that it wont be in horrendously bad condition! I've decided not to dye it for a while though, and give it a shmall break!

D.I.Y: Jazz Up Any Old Notebook!

Time for a D.I.Y project on Soapy Bubbles! I'm sure we all have an old notebook lying around that we could make look soo pretty! All you need is a few bits and bobs you can almost definitely find at home. Let's take a look :)

It's Almost Summer..Let's Bring Out The Denim Shorts!

Denim shorts have recently become one of the most loved pieces of clothing by fashionistas worldwide! They're simple, so cute and they go with almost everything! I absolutely love them and I have quite a few myself! They can be jazzed up with a peerdy top for a night out, or even worn with a simple top for a super summery look.

Here's a pair I got the other day-I'm so in love with them! I seriously love the faded American flag print on clothes! I'm keeping my eyes peeled for an American flag print denim shirt too-I just can't get enough haha!

I Seriously Love Orange Is The New Black

Hello everyone! Hope you're having a fantastic day and I hope it's not lashing out of the heavens for you like it is here. For those of you who have Netflix, you've probably seen or heard something about this show. I started watching it a while ago and it's just brilliant. A little risqué I guess, but it's not a family show anyway so who cares!

It centres around Piper Chapman, who commited a crime in her youth, and 10 years later is sent to prison to pay for it! I'm probably not making it sound very exciting, I know, but believe me it is. The actors are all brilliant and it's such an interesting concept. I'm sure we've all wanted to know what happens inside a women's prison, and seeing how there's so much that's been done about male prisons (i'm not feminist, just sayin') this is a really cool idea.

I love the back stories into character's lives so we get to know what they were like in the past, what landed them in prison, and we even get to question if some of them should be in there. If you like thought provoking tv you're onto a winner with this one.

Oh, and did I mention Regina Spektor sings the opening theme? It's so cool. If you have a means of watching it it's definitely worth a shot. As I said though, I wouldn't watch it with anyone you feel might get really awkward and not talk to you for days after. It's just one of those shows.

Personalised Mugs 

I think this one is really cool. All you need to do is take the mug of your choice, draw or write whatever you like with a sharpie, and bake in the oven for 30 mins.

Photo Transfer 

So cool! It doesn't have to be wood but make sure the surface you use for the picture is flat, otherwise it'll just come out kinda weird! I don't know what mod podge is, but I just use glue when I do this and it works perfectly! Also, if you're having difficulty rubbing the paper off, a little olive oil will make it so much easier.

Recreate Your First Date 

I think this is such a sweet idea! If you went out to eat on your first date, go to the same place, if you went to the cinema, go see something there! If you went for a walk, that's another great idea! It could be such a nice time to talk about how much things have changed and laugh about how nervous you were all that time ago! And if your relationship is really new, you can do whatever you like :)

Why I Started A YouTube Channel

I've been having so much fun doing my YouTube channel-even though it's only been 2 weeks! I uploaded my first video sometime around January, and then I kinda stopped for a while. The whole reason I started this channel, without sounding cheesy, is to show people you don't need really fancy, high end make-up to look nice! The most expensive make-up I have is my Naked Palette, and I know nearly everyone has that anyway! I have so much pharmacy make-up that's just as good as high end, and I'm gonna show all you guys how to use it!

Some things I really need to check off my YouTube list;

Find a really good quality camera. For some reason I look like a ghost in all my videos so far!

Work on my editing skills!

Practise the make-up look before I film it!

Relax a little more and don't be so nervous!

Rain Rain Go Away!

Aahhh it's so rainy! If you haven't heard already, we're sinking here in Ireland. It is sooo rainy and there be floods everywhere! I have a feeling we're gonna be stuck inside for a long time, so here a few things you could get up to instead of just looking out the window waiting for it to stop, or refreshing your Facebook feed every five minutes.

Read A Book!
I know it sounds boring, but you'd be surprised how fast you can lose yourself in a good book. Chances are there's SOMETHING lying around the house that you haven't read, and that's really really good. You'll feel better after reading too.

Video Games! 
If you're really not one for reading, why not dig out the ole Wii or the Playstation? If you have an old PS2 or even a SEGA lying around, it could be loads of fun to play them again, and remember why you loved them so much when you were little!

Any Board Games Lying Around?
I would suggest Monopoly but that can tend to cause lots of fights, so any old thing you have lying around would be perfect! It could even be an opportunity to learn a new game like chess (don't laugh at me, chess is an amazing game!)

There's Always Netflix!
I take it that a lot of people have Netflix now, so flick through it and find something everyone will love! There's endless entertainment on it and now might be the time to discover a new show! Try Breaking Bad, Dexter, Sons Of Anarchy and Orange Is The New Black to get you started.

YouTube!
If you don't have Netflix, never fear! There are lots of free movies on YouTube for you to enjoy! You can read my list right here!

If all these fail, I suppose there's always the internet to keep you entertained haha! Have an amazing day everyone, regardless what the weather might be like!

Do Squats Really Work?

Yes they do, and much quicker than you might think!

They're one of the most important exercises you can do. They might just sound like a myth from the exercise world, but they really will help to tone and shape your bum, and work almost every muscle in your body. While I know there are people who are gifted with perfect derrieres, for some of us, it requires a little work.

Here's a simple exercise (drawn by myself, hehe) that will help you tone up in no time! It really does work and you don't even have to kill yourself! You could make up the numbers by doing 10 in the morning, 20 in the evening and so on and so forth.

1. Stand with your head facing forward and your chest out. (This is important 'cause it's gonna effect how well the squat works!)

2. Place your feet slightly more than shoulder width apart, keep your hands straight out in front of you, as shown in the picture.

3. Sit back and basically, squat down as if you're sitting. Keep your head facing forward.

4. Lower so that your thighs are parallel to the floor, and press your weight into your heels.

5. Push back through your heels and return to the starting position.

I'd recommend doing around 50 a day for it to work, but don't forget to mix it up, and take one or two days a week off, so you don't burn out!

It's kind of hard to explain how I did this look in writing, so you can just watch the video if you're interested :D Remember to let each coat dry for a little while before you apply another too!

Baby Polar Bear's First Time In The Snow!

Oh my gosh, how CUTE is this polar bear??! First of all, I'm not a huge fan of zoos, but this little guy just melts my heart! Apparently he was very unhealthy at birth so he had to be cared for on his own until just a little a while ago. This is, as you can obviously tell, his first time in the snow and he's such a tootie pie!!

The Weirdest Thing About Irish People..

Happy Thursday everyone! Bit of a random post, but it's something I've been thinking about a lot so I said I'd write a little about it.

Ever since I was small, I noticed something really strange about Ireland. We have a really weird almost stupid thing when it comes to family. Now, I know there are people who have life long friends who DO consider them family, but at the end of the day, Irish people are so much more likely to side with their 70th cousin removed, than with people they've been friends with for years!

What is this mentality? I know, I know, "blood is thicker than water" and all that, but what does that say for families who have adopted children, or fostered them? How do you think they feel about that saying? And what about parents who have stepped in to take the place of one who was maybe never there etc. For them to hear that they're not loved as much because they aren't blood could be really hurtful. 

It seems really strange to me that a person could go to the ends of the earth to defend a second cousin they don't know that much about, solely due to the fact that they're "blood." It's a really old fashioned way of thinking in my opinion and I find it can often lead to so much unnecessary drama between friends. I don't know how to exactly get across the point I'm trying to make here haha but I think you all get what I mean. 

Sorry for the book but it's something I feel really strongly about and I just had to share my opinion haha!

Beauty Tutorials And Fun...My New Channel!

How yellowish/orange do I look? I swear I wasn't like that in real life!
