I Seriously Love Orange Is The New Black
Hello everyone! Hope you're having a fantastic day and I hope it's not lashing out of the heavens for you like it is here. For those of you who have Netflix, you've probably seen or heard something about this show. I started watching it a while ago and it's just brilliant. A little risqué I guess, but it's not a family show anyway so who cares!
It centres around Piper Chapman, who commited a crime in her youth, and 10 years later is sent to prison to pay for it! I'm probably not making it sound very exciting, I know, but believe me it is. The actors are all brilliant and it's such an interesting concept. I'm sure we've all wanted to know what happens inside a women's prison, and seeing how there's so much that's been done about male prisons (i'm not feminist, just sayin') this is a really cool idea.
I love the back stories into character's lives so we get to know what they were like in the past, what landed them in prison, and we even get to question if some of them should be in there. If you like thought provoking tv you're onto a winner with this one.
Oh, and did I mention Regina Spektor sings the opening theme? It's so cool. If you have a means of watching it it's definitely worth a shot. As I said though, I wouldn't watch it with anyone you feel might get really awkward and not talk to you for days after. It's just one of those shows.
Have any of you guys seen it? Let me know! Or yano, you could give me a follow if you'd like to see more reviews like these! :)

Happy Winnie The Pooh Day! Facts And Fun
People Really Play Poohsticks
Poohsticks has to be THE cutest game in the world! It involves Christopher Robin and Pooh Bear dropping sticks off a bridge into a river, and seeing which one comes out first at the other side. Awww! The funny thing is people actually take this sport seriously, and hold contests and everything-crazy!
"So they gathered on the old wooden bridge and played the game for many contented hours. And Eeyore, who had never played it before, won more times than anyone else. But poor Tigger won none at all."
A.A Milne based the characters on his son's toys!
A.A Milne is the creator of Winnie The Pooh. He started writing books about the animals of the Hundred- acre wood (I didn't even have to google that-saad haha!) based on his own sons teddies! His son's name was, you guessed it, Christopher Robin, and apart from changing the character style and all that jazz, Disney stayed surprisingly close to the original story lines and characters. I loved it anyway!

Pooh Is The Cutest Thing In The World
Even when I was small I was sure of one thing; Pooh was the loveliest bear in the whole world. He was always trying to do things to make his friends happy or fix teeny tiny Piglet's mistakes. Oh Piglet. Some of the nicest quotes in the world are from Pooh and they always make me smile. I don't care how cheesy that is.
“How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard.”
Mr.Sanders
If you know Pooh Bear you'll know "he lived under the name Mr.Sanders", this being the sign over the door of his house. A lot of people reckon it's just Pooh's second name but I think more than that. It's been thought that Milne wrote under the name Sander's sometimes, and other people say he was a guy who worked for Milne. Whatever the case, it's food for thought.

Pooh was called Edward Bear first, after the original teddy, but then changed to Winnie, after Winnipeg, a bear who was the mascot for a Canadian Army. He's known as Pooh, Pooh Bear, but never Winnie. That just sounds so weird!
Piglet Is So Cute
Piglet used to annoy me a little when I was younger, I don't know why! Now I can see that he's seriously so cute and he has some quotes that'll make you go aaaww!!!
“Piglet sidled up to Pooh from behind. "Pooh?" he whispered.
"Yes, Piglet?"
"Nothing," said Piglet, taking Pooh's hand. "I just wanted to be sure of you.”
“Supposing a tree fell down, Pooh, when we were underneath it?'
'Supposing it didn't,' said Pooh after careful thought.
Piglet was comforted by this.”
The real Roo teddy was lost in an orchard in the 1930s
Which makes me really sad and I wanna go find him!
I really think this is the cutest day ever! I better start getting ready cause I gots places to be haha but hope you all enjoyed this! I'll leave you all with another loverly quote! Have a supoyb night!

Getting Over Those Pesky Insecurities
“One of the greatest journeys in life is
overcoming insecurity
and learning to truly not give a shit.”
― J.A Konrath
I really don't mean for this to seem like a preachy self help post, but I'm seeing this issue effect people more and more every day, so I decided to write a little about it. That's one of my favourite quotes up there, it's short and to the point, without sounding like something we've heard 100 times before!
Every now and then I do read those "self help" articles when I'm bored, but to be honest they're all pretty much the same. I know they're all just trying to help, but to me, they make it seem so easy to get over insecurities in a few simple steps, when it's anything but! This is really just my thoughts on the whole thing in general...and maybe kind of a guideline too :)
One of the first things I want to point out here is I'm not looking to make anyone feel sorry for me at all, but I was bullied fairly badly in school, and of course there were multiple insecurities to follow. If you've read my blog before or seen my photos, you probably know (this is gonna sound weird) that I have really big lips, and this was like a bully target for me growing up! I haaaated my lips so much and I'd even try and find ways to make them smaller! Looking back, I hate that I was so ashamed but it's so easy to see why; it made me feel different. It's crazy how things change though and how you learn to love things you were once insecure about, because now I wish my lips were a tiny bit bigger haha! One of my cardinal rules is; if you can't change it just learn to love it! I guarantee in a few years time you'll feel silly for caring so much about one little thing that other people probably don't even notice!
Look at it this way; we spend a lot of time looking at ourselves every day, so naturally we pin point and pick out teeny tiny things that we think are wrong with us, when in reality, other people won't have noticed them at all. And without sounding all fake and self helpy again (which is something I really want to avoid!) your tiny imperfections could be someone's favourite thing about you! Who wants to look the same as everyone else anyway? I always think if you want to stand out among a group of people on let's say...a night out or something, do your make-up differently to the current trend, and I guarantee you'll look so amazing.
Another thing we're all really guilty of is focusing more on negative comments we've received than on the good ones. If you really really think about it, you've definitely received more good comments than bad, but it's just so much easier to focus on the ones that make us feel down and unhappy about ourselves. Insecurity can also be mistaken for humility too, so just remember it's okay to think you're funny, or really good at art or whatever it might be-you're not being big headed! I'm really guilty of saying "Oh I don't think I'll try, I wont be able to do that!" and then when I try it, it's fine! That's kind of a vague example but I think you'll get what I'm trying to say. Speaking down about yourself wont make things any better.
I didn't mean for this to be such a long winded rambling guys haha but I hope you all know what I'm trying to say. Life really is so short and you don't want to look back wondering why you cared so much about tiny little things.
Hahaha! Thanks for reading everyone! Have an amazing day!
Soph :)
