5 Nursery Rhymes That Are Not What They Seem
What a random post, but hey-it's pretty interesting! I'm sure most of you know one or two nursery rhymes that were based on weird events, but here's a few more to get you thinking. I'd just like to mention also, I haven't gone and stolen these facts from other articles. I have a crazy memory and I remember reading about it aages ago, seeing stuff about it on tv, and so on and so forth.

I Seriously Love Orange Is The New Black
Hello everyone! Hope you're having a fantastic day and I hope it's not lashing out of the heavens for you like it is here. For those of you who have Netflix, you've probably seen or heard something about this show. I started watching it a while ago and it's just brilliant. A little risqué I guess, but it's not a family show anyway so who cares!
It centres around Piper Chapman, who commited a crime in her youth, and 10 years later is sent to prison to pay for it! I'm probably not making it sound very exciting, I know, but believe me it is. The actors are all brilliant and it's such an interesting concept. I'm sure we've all wanted to know what happens inside a women's prison, and seeing how there's so much that's been done about male prisons (i'm not feminist, just sayin') this is a really cool idea.
I love the back stories into character's lives so we get to know what they were like in the past, what landed them in prison, and we even get to question if some of them should be in there. If you like thought provoking tv you're onto a winner with this one.
Oh, and did I mention Regina Spektor sings the opening theme? It's so cool. If you have a means of watching it it's definitely worth a shot. As I said though, I wouldn't watch it with anyone you feel might get really awkward and not talk to you for days after. It's just one of those shows.
Have any of you guys seen it? Let me know! Or yano, you could give me a follow if you'd like to see more reviews like these! :)

Baby Polar Bear's First Time In The Snow!
Oh my gosh, how CUTE is this polar bear??! First of all, I'm not a huge fan of zoos, but this little guy just melts my heart! Apparently he was very unhealthy at birth so he had to be cared for on his own until just a little a while ago. This is, as you can obviously tell, his first time in the snow and he's such a tootie pie!!
Hahaha! I love that picture! Hope you liked the video guys and have an amazing weekend!

Justin Bieber-Let It Go!!
I'm just gonna come out and say it; it was bound to happen, and we need to get over it.
The day the crazy incident took place, my Facebook feed was flooded with "OMG can you believe Justin Bieber did this" and mugshots all 'round. I admit some of them made me laugh, but I didn't even read an article on what he did because it is seriously, the least interesting thing to me in the world right now.
What do people expect from someone who basically gets either death threats, or threats from obsessed girls every day of their lives. And people are trying to deport him now? I'm not a fan of his music, but I don't physically despise him like everyone else does...this is just ridiculous! I think this was probably building from the Cut4Bieber trend too, and if it was any other random crazy person, no one would really care. I do know what happened though, because IT'S EVERYWHERE! In another few months we'll all have moved on the next story, and Justin (who probably doesn't care about what he did now), probably wont care about it then either. I guess all I'm really trying to say is; he's someone who's trying to move on in his own crazy way, and we need to let him.

Film Review: Run Lola Run
If you haven't already guessed it guys, I love films. I've seen lots and lots of them so I thought maybe I should write a bit about them on my blog! Today we're gonna talk about Run Lola Run, or Lola Rennt, as it's known in Germany. I'll tell you right now, it might not be everyone's taste, and if you're not a fan of subtitles then don't say I didn't warn you, but I really like it.

dvdbear.com
So the story is...hmm I actually don't know how to explain this one without giving too much away! It revolves around a girl named Lola who receives a phone call from her very panicky boyfriend, who tells her she has 20 minutes to help him try and find 100 grand, or he's in big, big trouble. Sounds a little straight forward doesn't it? Well it's not! The opening scene is soo cool-I saw it first when I was really small and I can remember thinking it was cool then too! The whole film is just really unique and different, doing things like giving snap shots into minor character's lives, and showing snippets of the film through animation.
The soundtrack is perfect for the film and really suits the mood, but the best thing about this film is it leaves you going; "who, what, why?!" which I love! That's all I'll say about it because it's hard to explain without ruining anything, but yeah-just go watch it haha!

They Finally Revealed What Happened To Amber
Well, it's about time! This post is gonna be a little different to the others on my blog, but I thought people might be interested in finding out what happened.
The co-producer of Amber, Paul Duane, went to speak to Ryan Tubridy on 2FM, and Tubs, like many of us, was not too happy with the ending. It might be kinda unfair but he basically coaxed the ending out of the co-producer.
He said; “Paul, Paul, hang on a second. I am not a stupid man. I watched four episodes of it so don’t answer in riddles. If you do know the answer to what happened to Amber, tell me.”
So Paul replied with: “Well, Amber’s dead.”
He went on to say that if you watch the show back, and decipher the clues, you'll realise there's lots of water imagery in the show, leading us to believe that Amber's somewhere in the water. He also said that the killer was someone outside the show, so we can rule all the known suspects out.
I watched every episode of Amber and I wasn't the only one who was slightly annoyed by the end of the programme. I understand what it was trying to say and it definitely got the message across, but at the end of the day, it's still a tv programme and people hate to be left in the dark. Who knows if they'll bring it back, but with the floods of complaints RTE received it looks likely.

Friday Film Talk: Watership Down...What A Crazy Film!
So I was scouring the net last night when everyone else was probably asleep, and I remembered this film I used to like when I was small, called "Watership Down". Well I looked it up on YouTube and my first thoughts were: "amm what?! I didn't see anything strange about this at the time?!" For those of you who don't know, I have a really crazy memory, so I remembered the film and what it was about, I just didn't remember ever seeing anything wrong with it. I watched it again for the first time in years last night and I just thought "woah-how is this so underrated?!" If you don't remember the film, you'll probably remember the tv show.

Now for those of you who don't know, Watership Down is a 1978 animated adventure featuring lots of fuzzy bunnies. I know, sounds cute doesn't it? WRONG! This film is directed so much more towards adults in my opinion. Animated films as we all know are usually intended for children, and that's why I think so many of them watched it. That doesn't mean it's not a brilliant movie though. The film is based on the novel of the same name by Richard Adams, who was known for writing dark novels featuring animals.
So the film basically revolves around a group of bunnies who try to find a new home for themselves when Fiver (cool name) has a vision that their home will soon be no more. They go to the chief and he doesn't care, so a few bunnies set off on their own adventure. Hazel is our main man and the leader of the group, and I know you're thinking, "this sounds like a nice kids movie!" well let's talk about Violet, the only female rabbit in the group.
Oh wait, we can't because her friend up there just witnessed her being killed by a hawk! Seriously..not long into the film and one of our friends is already dead! I'm not complaining about the weirdness though, I actually think it's a cool representation of real wildlife. I've noticed as well that films were a lot more like this back in my day, but they're not anymore and maybe that's why it's such a shock to me now. I'm not gonna ruin the film for anyone who wants to watch it, but it's really crazy. It deals with loads of themes from trust, to society and it's been studied lots by students because there's just so much going on.
It does get really weird in parts, I'll just let you all know now. There's extremely bloody fights and it can get very graphic. And look at the villain!
"I'm really really creepy."
I don't think you'll ever see rabbits in the same way after this (who knew they like to fight to the death?!) and be warned for those of you who are really overly sensitive, it's kind of heartbreaking. I would have liked to have seen a little more character development but that's really my only complaint. The music is beautiful and so edgy at times, and some of the dialogue is weird, but hey-I love weird haha!
I'm really blown away by how unique this film is and I really would watch it again. It's so honest for a cartoon and that's something we never see anymore. For 1978, the animation is really beautiful and the scenery is amazing.
My score on this one: 8/10 for being unique and weird and really really cool.
Thanks for reading everyone!

Factual Friday-Crazy Movie Facts
It's Friday everyone!! Wooohoo!! Gotta get down and all that. Time for another factual Friday and I thought it'd be cool to write about some of my fave movie facts. These are all definitely true too, just so you know I'm not lyin'!

1. In Home Alone, the picture Kevin finds of Buzz's girlfriend is actually a boy in a wig. Chris Columbus thought it'd be too mean to make fun of a girl like that.
"Buzz your girlfriend-woof!"
2. During just one lunch break, the animators at Pixar came up with the ideas for A Bugs Life, Finding Nemo, Wall-E and Monster's Inc! Wooow!!
3. In The Beatles feature A Hard Day's Night, the band's name isn't mentioned once.
4. In Charlie And The Chocolate Factory, Tim Burton had 40 squirrels trained to crack nuts, as he wanted it to be as life like as possible.
5. In Pulp Fiction, every time John Travolta is in the bathroom, something bad happens. Random one I know but I still think it's cool!
6. Ed Norton added so many changes to American History X, director Tony Kaye wanted his name changed to Humpty Dumpty in the credits.
7. The Mexican restaurant in Anchorman is called Escipumos en su Alimento, which translates to "we spit in your food."
8. Bollywood produces over 800 movies a year!
9. Humphrey Bogart never said "Play it again, Sam." In Casablanca.
10. The first time Michael Caine saw Heath Ledger perform as The Joker, he was so taken aback that he forgot his lines. Understandable!
Both pics are from IMDB so hat tip to them for being probably the best movie site ever! Hope you enjoyed guys! Have an amazing weekend!
